air cooled industrial chiller

An air cooled industrial chiller rejects heat to ambient air at the condenser. Indoor placement dumps that heat into the room unless ducted or moved outdoors. This page explains how application, process-loop fluid and flow rate, and upstream or downstream building interfaces change the RFQ. It does not size a plant cooling network or promise a comfort-HVAC selection.

Changeover context

Operating context
Plastics, plating, laser, or food-process loops that need a dedicated package rather than a building chilled-water riser. Changeover here means switching heat-rejection location, glycol mix, or leaving-fluid setpoint between jobs—not a packaging-line format change. Nearby walls that recirculate hot condenser discharge belong in the brief because they change effective ambient at the coil.
Work through this decision
Changeover context: Must have

State process-loop fluid and flow rate, leaving and return temperatures, and whether the condenser will sit indoors, on a roof, or in a yard with known summer dry-bulb. If the same skid must later serve a colder leaving-fluid job, write both setpoints so factories can say whether the evaporator and compressor staging still cover the duty. Compressed air demand only matters if pneumatic valves are specified; otherwise leave it blank rather than inventing a utility.

Tradeoff

A compact indoor air-cooled package can look cheaper until the room needs extra ventilation or the condenser is derated for recirculation. Moving heat rejection outdoors adds crane time, weather covers and longer refrigerant or fluid lines. Those are site costs, not a reason to treat two nameplate tons as equal. Water-cooled or remote-condenser options are a different application page if condenser water already exists.

Next question

Which upstream or downstream interfaces and representative production samples must be confirmed? Name the process heat exchanger, tank volume and whether a sample fluid (with viscosity at leaving temperature) can be used at FAT. Without that, temperature-stability claims remain marketing language from a catalog, not a SAT record.
